NEWRY SWIMMERS COMPETE AT SWIM ULSTER GALA
Sunday 2nd October saw a group of young swimmers from Newry and Mourne head to Armagh to take part in the 1st Swim Ulster Development gala of the current season. This is the starting point for youngsters hoping to move along the competitive pathway.
As always the Newry youngsters swam with determination and gained some absolutely massive Personal Best times to the delight of their coaches and parents. Keven Mc Stay took gold in the 100m freestyle kick. Ciara O’ Hare took silver in the 100m freestyle kick and Tara Haffey took silver in the 50m back crawl.
All in all, a good days work for the team with a few medals to encourage them onward.
