Schools Gala 21st & 22nd October 2017

A big well done to all our swimmers who swam at the weekend!  Here’s a quick round up of what we’ve been sent!   

St Colmans boys performed brilliantly,  Lewis, Liam og, Thomas & Jackie are now Ulster Schools Champions in the free style relay age group 9 to 12 and 2nd place in the medley relay,  well done boys!  Well done to Liam og who got a bronze medal in the back stroke 50m, Lewis who made the Breaststroke 50 final and Aran,  Thomas and Jackie who achieved some significant Pb’s across the board!

Sacred Heart Grammar, had a great team, Sophie Keane, Sinead,Shona, Tara,  Caoimhe, Aimee,Katie, Clara and Abby.  The girls achieved amazing PB’s across the board.  Tara made the finals in both the Back and IM finals in her age group.  Caiomhe made the Back crawl final and brought home a 3rd place medal!   Well done Caoimhe and Team Sacred Heart!

Ciara Malcom represented her school St Marys Grammar and swam alongside Caoimhe in the Back crawl final bringing home a silver Ulster schools medal!   Well done Ciara!  

Represnting Methodist College Amy Hunter swam out of her skin getting a Gold in 50 fly and a bronze in 50 back. Well done Amy! 

Congratulations St Ronans swim team on their amazing performance – PBs for all and 6 qualified for Irish Schools Finals in Dublin. Go Tom, Charlie, Corey, Rio, Oran, Ellen and Isabella.

Well done to sisters Ciara and Maeve who represented their schools St Paul’s and Cloughoge Primary. Both girls achieved fantastic pbs and both made finals. Maeve in 50m Fly and Ciara in the 100m fly!  Great job girls!! 

Also representing St Paul’s were Stephanie Hart, Niall O’Hare and Alex Boxberger – all smashed their swims and achieved new Pb’s!  

St Peters Primary Beesbrook had a great team in Kayla,Leona,Amy Lee and Sean!  All got fantastic PBs   Leona and Amy Lee both made  the finals in breast and free in their age groups.   Sean made the finals of the IM and all 3  will be heading to the Irish Schools finals in Dublin in February!   Well done!!!

Our Lady’s Grammar school had club swimmers Rachel, Lorelei & Tara representing them.   The girls achieved some great Pb’s and Lorelei and Tara made finals!   Well done girls!  

St Josephs high school had the Rafferty boys representing them!   Both swam brilliantly making finals.  Shea brought home a silver medal in the 100fly!!! Well done Shea and Ben! 

Lastly swimming for St Patricks Primary School Crosmaglen, Darragh Quinn got a bronze medal and some great PB’s!

A big well done to all our swimmers the number of PB’s and medals shows all the training does pay off!   Keep up the training and come January we’ll see lots of Division 1 & 2 times been achieved!!
